Each volume in this particular series is numbered on the titlepage from vol. I to XII, "restoration" in the title has both the "t" as swash capitals with curving cross-bar ends, and the set falls into two groups as shown by the direction line on p. [1] of each volume, the first group covering the period from 1660 to 1714 and the second group from 1714 to 1740: the first group contains five volumes (direction line: Tome I [-V]) and the second seven volumes (direction line: Vol. I [-VII])
