The History of the Plimoth Plantation

Amsterdam, and afterwards at Leyden, of the community of Puritan Separatists, commonly known as Brownists; of their departure from Holland and embarkation at Southampton in 1620 in the Mayflower; of the voyage of the Pilgrim Fathers to America; of the foundation by them of the “Plimoth Plantation," and of the history and government of the Plantation until 1646. The manuscript consists of 280 folio pages, in Governor William Bradford's own handwriting, which is an example of clear and beautiful penmanship. Alimited number of copies have been produced by photography, and each copy is numbered. They are printed on fine hand-made paper. It is a work of remarkable interest to scholars and collectors. Mr. Doyle, who writes the Introduction, has made a thorough study of the subject, as his published works amply prove. The work forms a handsome quarto, and the price is $25.00, net.
