Will assemble at the Headquarters of the 31st Massachusetts Volunteers, on the 25th inst., or as soon thereafter as practicable, for the examination of such officers as may be brought before it.

The Board will report upon the capacity, qualifications, propriety of conduct and efficiency of the officers examined.

Ship Island, March 25, 1862.

I. All public property of the Quartermaster's or Ordnance Departments in possession of the several regiments of this division, and not required for immediate issue to the troops, will be turned over to the chiefs of these departments respectively, at Division Headquarters.

II. Capt. John H. Nelson, 30th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, is hereby appointed Provost Marshal of the forces at Ship Island. He will be obeyed and respected accordingly.
