Patented March 31, 1857.
Sold by all the Druggists, Dealers in Druggists' Glass Ware, Surgical
Instruments and Fancy Goods, in the United States. BE CAREFUL AND GET DAVIDSON'S. Owing to the reputation which this instrument has attained, imitations of it have been put into the market at different times, but, having been worthless things, as well as infringements, have soon killed themselves.
Thousands of our instruments are now in use, and the demand for them is constantly increasing. If you once use one for complaints where Cathartics are generally used, you will never again permit your system to become debilitated by the use of drugs. If you wish for a durable and reliable instrument, get Davidson's.

COMBINATION OF FINE OLD MOCHA AND GOVERNMENT JAVA COFFEES
No. 63 Charlestown St., Boston, GEO. F. GIFFORD. The following is an extract from a Certificate signed by several gentlemen of this city, with reference to the celebrated MPCHA and JAVA COFFEE
prepared by the Proprietors, and which has been in use more than eight years: “We are free to say that Noah Davis & Co.'s Combination of Mocha and JAVA COFFEES surpasses in richness and delicacy of flavor any we have ever before used; and that, in addition to its superior quality, we find it to be from Thirty to Forty per cent. "We feel assured that, with our conviction of its pre-eminence in quality, the
encomiums of our patrons, and the testimony of our employees, we are fully warnnted in recommending it to proprietors of Public Houses and all others, not doubting their upqualified approbation after a fair trial." Signed by
SELDON CROCKETT, Bromfield Hotcse, 3 others. "I have become acquainted with the apparatus for roasting Coffee, invented by Mr. Reinhold Landstrom, and have tested the Coffee prepared by this device in ordinary use at Noal Davis & Co.'s Coffee Mill, in this city. The principle of slow conduction of heat through soapstone, with the prevention of the free escape of vapors, permits the development of the aromatic oil in the caffe kernel, undergoing the change slowly in the most perftct manner, while the oil remains engaged in the tissues of the kernel. Coffee roasted in this apparatus retains a larger amount of flavor and taste than is usually found in it, and the roasted coffee becomes there fore more economical for consumption.
Respectfully, 16 Boylston St., Boston, March 24, 1860.
A. A. HAYES, M. D., State Assayer."
