The company which left Massachusetts as Company H, with this regiment, has been disbanded, and the members assigned to other companies. Its officers were Capt. W. H. Wilson, of Roxbury, who resigned; 1st lieut. Henry Hale, who has been assigned to Company I; 2d lieut., W. H. LeCain, who also resigned.

The present Company H was recruited by Capt. Chas. U. Devereux, in Salem and vicinity, and joined the regiment at camp near Seneca, Md., Dec. 15, 1861.
