LIST of Vessels in Commission, their Commanders, and Station AMOUNT of Stores on hand at the several Navy Yards, on th 1st of October, 1832, viz. C. NAVY COMMISSIONERS' OFFICE, 28th November, 1832. ST: The commissioners, in compliance with your directions of the 21st of August last, have now the honor to submit the following papers, viz. 1. Statement showing the number and distribution of the vessels of the navy, the number of live oak frames on hand, and frames contracted for. 2. Statement showing the quantity of timber on hand, purchased under the appropriation for repairs and for other purposes. 3. Statement showing the number of tons of iron, lead, and copper, and the number of anchors and chain cables on hand, belonging to the appropriation for repairs, and to any other appropriation. 4. Statement showing the number of serviceable cannon, carronades, and cannon ball, the quantity of powder, and materials for powder, with the number and description of small arms on board vessels in commission, and in depot at the several navy yards.
