A Paper Devoted to the Interests of the Society of Friends. "FRIENDS, MIND THE LIGHT."-GEORGE FOX. The Journal is now nearing the middle of its eleventh volume. Its conductors consider this a fitting time and opportunity at which to urge its claims to recognition and support upon Friends. They feel at liberty so to do because they have, to the best of their ability, made it a paper worthy of such recognition and support; such a paper, in fact, as should be in every Friend's family. The report of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting of 1883 is one of the best reports of a Woman's Meeting that has ever appeared in any paper. Numerous other interesting and valuable reports of meetings appear in its columns from time to time, making it just such a vehicle of news, of a religious character, as Friends need. A number of Friends contribute to its columns articles upon vital and important subjects bearing upon our principles and testimonies. In addition to these contributions, the editors have obtained the consent of Graceanna Lewis, of Philadelphia, the distinguished naturalist, to write occasionally for its columns. The first of her contributions, an interesting account, in three parts, of the beaver, is now in process of publication. Such are a few of the features that render The Journal a paper that every Friend should read and support. Its conductors trust that Friends will do everything in their power to assist in extending its circulation and influence. The terms are, as they have long been, Ten Copies for $20, one year; 1 copy free to the getter up of the club.
