COLD EXPRESSED CONCENTRATED

MEDICINAL FLUID EXTRACTS Made by N. Spencer Thomas' process. l'atented Jun. 31, 1865.

We would call the attention of Druggists and Physicians to these preparations, as being far superior to other Fluid Extracts, from the fact that they are made without the aid of heat, and are not exposed to the air in any way-are made, in all cases, from the best selected drugs, and the operation performed by experienced Pharmaceutists-thus securing a valuable Fluid Extract that contains in perfect solution the medicinal properties of the drug, avoiding the inert matter. They are made to represent exactly their own weight of the crude drug, of the best quality, and are most valuable for Apothecaries and Physicians to use in making their Tinctures, Syrups, and other Fluid preparations, by using the same weight of Fluid Extract as is ordered in the standard works, of the crude drug, and adding enough liquid to make up the measure.

THE

PALMER LEG AND ARM.

BREVOORT HOUSE, NEW YORK, January 12, 1865

SIR-I have great pleasure in bearing testimony to the excellence of the Artificial Leg you made for me. I have used it long enough to convince me of the superior mecharical construction of the limbs you make.

My intercourse with yourself has impressed me with your unwearied devotion to your patients, and the rare scientific accomplishments you bring to their re'ief. In placing this note at your disposal, I only perform a duty to my comrades who. Lay, by the fortune of war, have occasion for your services.

I remain, dear sir, very respectfully,

B. FRANK. PALMER, LL. D., Philadelphia.

BOSTON, MASS., January 6, 1865.

DEAR SIR-I have now used the Palmer Leg (full length) for more than two years. During most of that tie, I have been on active duty in the fi ld. It has stood the severe test of campaigning, exposure to all weathers, and constant use in the suddle, admirably, I have never been kept off duty an hour by any fault in its mechanism. I willingly bear testimony to its superior merits, and express my com plete satisfaction with the result of the test to which I have subjected it.

I am, sir, very respectfully,

B. FRANK. PALMER, LL. D.

W. F. BARTLETT, Major.General,
