Saturday: ENCOURAGEMENT TO WORSHIP

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.—John 4: 23, 24.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.-Hebrews 4: 14-16.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the vail, that is to say, his flesh;

And having a high priest over the house of God;

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised;

And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.— Hebrews 10: 19-25.

We celebrate the gracious liberty into which Thou, O Lord, hast brought us through Jesus Christ. He has opened the way into Thy presence by the sacrifice of the Cross. May we who participate in the fulness of joy, by communion with Thee, continue to abide in the truth and

We do not think of worship as a tedious discipline, but as an exhilarating privilege. May those who neglect this means of grace realize what they are missing of the needed encouragement and guidance for daily living. We pray for the faithful, that their confession of faith and hope may stimulate one another to emulate the virtues of the Gospel of love and to walk worthily of their high calling. Increase the zeal of Thy people, that there may be a deepening of the social passion to build up the Kingdom of our God. May the exercises held in the churches tomorrow be beneficial. Bless our own church-the minister, the official leaders, the membership, and our community; and may all that is done in our church and through it prove profitable, for the sake of Christ.

Sunday: THE SUPREME BUILDER

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.-Psalm 112: 1-3.

Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.

Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.-Psalm 127:1-5.

Blessed is every one that feareth the Lord; that walketh in his ways.

For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.

Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of thine house: thy children like olive plants round about thy table.

Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that feareth the Lord.

The Lord shall bless thee out of Zion: and thou shalt see the good of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

Yea, thou shalt see thy children's children, and peace upon Israel.-Psalm 128: 1-6.

We acknowledge that Thou, O Lord, art the giver of all good and perfect gifts. Thy sustaining grace is over all Thy works. We gladly confess Thee as our Father,

whose guidance and governance have brought timely assistance to us in seasons of need. Vain is the help of man unless it is enriched by the blessing of God. Earthly prosperity is a delusion and a disappointment when Thou, O God, art ignored. Teach us that it is madness to try to eliminate Thee from our midst, for Thou art indispensable to our best welfare. May every member of this family, from the youngest to the oldest, realize the benefits of Thy providential direction and remain faithful to Thee under every circumstance. We pray for every family in the land, that true piety may abound. We especially beseech Thee to impart the comforts of Thy Spirit to those who are sad because of the loss of loved ones. May they learn that the sacrifices made in the troubled days of the War are agencies of God for the peace of the world. May this day of rest confer its benedictions on us all through Jesus Christ.

Monday: A FAITHFUL MOTHER

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.-Psalm 112: 1-3.

The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have received a commandment from the Father.

And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

Having many things to write unto you, I would not
