that the Synod of Virginia and the Presbytery of Winchester had made no report, which was contrary to fact, as appears from the written minutes of the last Assembly On motion, therefore, it was ordered, that this mistake be corrected in the extracts of this year, and that, as these reports were not printed last year together with the rest, they should be entered at large in the extracts of this year. ""*

Resolved, That this Assembly be dissolved, and that the next General Assembly be required to meet in the First Presbyterian Church in the city of Philadelphia, on the third Thursday in May next, at 11 o'clock A. M.

The Moderator, therefore, dissolved this Assembly, agreeably to the form prescribed by the Constitution of the Church.

Concluded with prayer.

* Compliance with the above order is impossible. The reports referred to were not, nor have they to this day been, delivered to the Stated Clerk. After searching the papers put into his hands by the Permanent Clerk, since the rising of the last Assembly, he finds in relation to this Synod, only a report from the Presbytery of Winchester, and one from the Presbytery of Hanover, both for this year, though it is implied in the Assembly's written minutes, that the Synod made a report. These reports shall be published in full to make the list of the names of the ministers in our connexion more complete.

STATEMENT

Of monies reported by the Presbyteries to have been collected for the Missionary and Commissioners' Funds and likewise of the monies collected for the Education of poor and pious youth for the Gospel ministry. The sums actually paid to the Treasurer of the Trustees of the General Assembly, as certified by those who paid the money, are stated at the foot of each Presbyterial account. The Presbyteries belonging to Synods which conduct the missionary business in a separate capacity, do not pay into the hands of the Treasurer, the monies collected by them for the support of missions; nor do any of the Presbyteries pay to him the sums collected for the education of poor and pious youth for the Gospel ministry: but all the Presbyteries are required, by the General Assembly, to report annually to them what they have collected for these purposes.

The statements are taken from the Presbyterial reports, where they are not mentioned as from the Synodical reports.

NO Reports from the other two Presbyteries belonging to this Synod, have come to the hands
of the Stated Clerk; and it appears, from the Compendious view, that no reports from them were
presented to the General Assembly. The Stated Clerk has sought for the Report of the Synod,
