BE it remembered, That on the ninth day of May, in the twentyseventh Year of the Independence of the United States of America, William Young Birch, and Abraham Small, of the said District, have deposited in this Office the Title of a Book, the right whereof they claim as Proprietors, in the words following, to wit:

"Blackstone's Commentaries: with Notes of Reference, to the "Constitution and Laws of the Federal Government of the United "States; and of the Commonwealth of Virginia. In Five Volumes. "With an Appendix to each Volume, containiug, Short Tracts upon such Subjects as appeared necessary to form a connected "View of the Laws of Virginia, as a Member of the Federal "Union. By St. George Tucker, Professor of Law, in the Uni"versity of William and Mary, and one of the Judges of the "General Court in Virginia."

In Conformity to the Act of the Congress of the United States, intituled, "An Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the Copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such Copies during the times therein mentioned," and also, to an Act entituled, " An Act supplementary to an Act, entituled, an Act for the Encouragement of Learning, by securing the Copies of Maps, Charts, and Books, to the Authors and Proprietors of such Copies, during the Times therein mentioned. And extending the Benefits thereof to the Arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical, and other Prints."
