The meaning of IMMANUEL is, God with us; the meaning of JESUS is, God our Saviour; or God shall save. * Q. 5.~How does it appear that these names have the same meaning? A. Because in the person of JESUS, God was really with us, and amongst us, as our Saviour. Q. 6. Was the name of JESUS given to any person before Christ came into the world? A. Yes; the name Joshua is exactly the same as JESUS. Q. 7-Who was Joshua ? A.
