APPENDIX N. THE following table exhibits the immigration into the United States by decades from 1821 to 1880. NOTE. — Grand total, 1789 to 1881 inclusive, 11,436.521. Prior to the year 1930 no oficial records of the arrivals of allen passengers were kept. It is estimated however that the total number arrived in the United States from the foundation of the government to the year 1+2 was 250,000 — about 6,000 per sanam.
