A Life of St. John for the YoungThis book aims to introduce John the Apostle to a young audience. As one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus according to the New Testament, John was considered the youngest and the son of Zebedee and Salome. His brother James was also one of the Twelve Apostles. The Church Fathers identified him as John the Evangelist, John of Patmos, John the Elder, and the Beloved Disciple, and testified that he outlived the remaining apostles and was the only one to die of natural causes. However, modern scholars are divided on the veracity of these claims. |
