This is the ultimate book about GP. Others that played in bands with him and knew him well state is the most factual account of his very sad but powerful life, cut way too short at 26.
Who knows
where he may have been today had he lived. Would he still be churning out his own love of country and rock, or move on to some other genre? I'd like to think he'd stay true to his roots in Waycross, and continue to make old-timey music that made people think, get up and dance, and above all, make the girls cry with his poignant delivery and his sad eyes (inherited from his father).
A must read if you have any interest in the artist.

Fantastico. The only bio on GP you need to read. And don't call it heroin, it was morphine. (and don't argue with me about it.) Read full review
