CHAPTER 551.

AN ACT TO ENABLE JOHN F. LETENDRE TO BUILD AND
MAINTAIN A BASEMENT EXTENSION UNDER THAT
PORTION OF THE SIDEWALK ON CLINTON STREET
IN THE CITY OF WOONSOCKET ABUTTING THE
PREMISES LEASED TO HIM.

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. That John F. Letendre of Woonment extension socket, in the county of Providence and state of Rhode Island, is hereby authorized and empowered, with the consent of the city council of said city of Woonsocket, to build and maintain a basement extension under that portion of the sidewalk on Clinton street in said city abutting the premises leased to said John F. Letendre by Theodore Francis Green, et als., by a certain lease dated December 1st, A. D. 1922 and to cover the said extension with iron grating with glass inlaid therein for the purpose of transmitting light into said basement; provided, however, that said basement extension shall be so constructed as not to interfere with the use of said Clinton street or that portion thereof by the public, and not to interfere with any public sewer or any pipes or conduits under or in said Clinton street belonging to any person or corporation having any rights to maintain the same therein.

SEC. 2. This act shall take effect upon its passage.
