We refer you to table "A," attached to this report, for the amounts loaned by this Fund on mortgages to the different counties. There are many mortgages of long standing belonging to the Fund that are secured on lands and lots which have been forfeited to the State, and will not perhaps sell so readily and for so much at the Court House door in Indianapolis as they would at the Court House door in the county where the land is situated. We, therefore, for the purpose of avoiding apprehended loss, would recommend that a law be passed authorizing this Board to sell such lands and lots, as the Board in their discretion shall think best, at the Court House door in the county where such lands and lots are situated, upon proper notice.

We also refer you to table marked "B" for the Clerk's report of the condition of this Fund.
