WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 7, 1925, 12:00 O'CLOCK M. At the regular session of the Fifty-fourth General Assembly of the State of Illinois, begun and held at the Capitol in the City of Springfield, at 12:00 o'clock noon, on Wednesday next after the first Monday in January, the same being the 7th day of January, in the year of our Lord, 1925, pursuant to the provisions of section nine (9), Article four (4) of the Constitution of the State of Illinois. The Honorable Louis L. Emmerson, Secretary of State, called the House to order and presided over its deliberations until the election of a temporary presiding officer, as provided by the Constitution. Prayer was offered by the Rev. John T. Thomas, of the First Presbyterian Church, Springfield. The Secretary of State designated B. H. McCann as provisional clerk and Frank J. Leonard as provisional doorkeeper, pending the temporary organization of the House and directed Mr. McCann to call the roll of Representatives-elect of the Fifty-fourth General Assembly compiled as follows from the official returns on file in the office of the Secretary of State: |
