OPENING REMARKS

Mr. MCHUGH. Our next witness is the Assistant Secretary for Administration, Charles Hilty, along with some of his people.

Mr. TRAXLER. Mr. Chairman, who is the gentleman sitting at the table not saying very much? Will we get a rundown on him? Maybe we should put his bio in the record.

Mr. McHUGH. Next to Mr. Hilty is Mr. Dewhurst himself who has more hours logged in this room than anyone else.

Mr. Assistant Secretary, we appreciate your being here. If you would like to introduce some of the people with you, we would be delighted to hear from them as well.

INTRODUCTORY STATEMENT

Mr. HILTY. Thank you, Mr. Chairman. I have on my right Connie Gillam, who is the Budget Officer for Departmental Administration. To my immediate left is Dr. Larry Wilson, who is the Director of the Office of Finance and Management. Although he has not been formally acknowledged, he has been informally acknowledged by your panel. To my far left is someone who should have a bronze plaque as a historical monument, the honorable Steve Dewhurst, who is the Budget Officer for the entire Department.

Mr. McHUGH. Please proceed with a summary of your statement, if you would like, or however you wish to proceed.

HISTORIC OCCASION
