ERRATA.

In the article, "Henry Clay, as an Orator," page 105, beginning of second paragraph, instead of "it is a most valuable possession," read "they are."

It is said, page 502, that Governor Saltonstall, at the time of his death, "had been Governor of Connecticut nearly seventeen years, a longer time than any other man has ever held the same office." This is an error. Governor Talcott, the immediate successor of Governor Saltonstall, was elected governor by the legislature in October, 1724, and was continued in office by annual popular election till his death in December, 1741; a little more than seventeen years.
